EEK! I loved this。 This is definitely my favorite fantasy series that I have ever read。 I had to take breaks from this book because I didn’t want it to end。 Beautiful, perfect。 I also appreciate this book focusing on some darker, real themes。 I have no notes。 May cannot come soon enough 😭💗

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I missed the supporting cast that was developed last book 🥲 Also ngl I’m annoyed the two mcs were separated for 60% of the book。But the last third was earned, I was relieved something good finally happened。 Can’t wait for the last book so I can finally be done with Jen Armentrout 😅🙈

Guys! I cannot give this book enough stars! It was everything I wanted it to be and more。 I did the audiobook and finished it in less than 24 hours。 Could NOT put it down! Barely stopped to sleep! I've been obsessed with every single book in this series and the Blood and Ash series, and this book was no different。 But JLA really shocked me with the amount of darkness and manipulations。 And the REVELATIONS about Sotoria, Callum, and so much more! It feels like everything is coming together and I think JLA is freaking brilliant。 This book gave me 60% anxiety, 30% devastation, and 10% absolute marshmallow goo softness。 Sera is honestly one of the strongest characters I've ever met。 The degra I've been obsessed with every single book in this series and the Blood and Ash series, and this book was no different。 But JLA really shocked me with the amount of darkness and manipulations。 And the REVELATIONS about Sotoria, Callum, and so much more! is there truly a point to this book? (except for the last 30%)

Oh。 My。 Goddess! Or primal。 No spoilers…but some questions we’ve had are answered。 Some foreshadowing。 More questions brought up! JLA has a other 10 star winner! This world just get better and better。 And oh my…。。daddy Nyktos!

3。75 ⭐️ The beginning was so so so so good! I loved it so much because it was new and exciting and there was so much amazing action ✨The middle part was again rather boring 🥲 it just dragged on too long。 I hate when main characters are separated for like 65% of a book。 Just why? I really don’t need to have that much Kolis in my life。 After that rather boring phase there was some action again and these powerful and heart-breaking scenes were written perfectly ! ❣️But a lot of scenes in this book 3。75 ⭐️ The beginning was so so so so good! She just lets the characters (Sera or Poppy) ramble on for countless pages。 But I am excited to learn how they will deal with the existing threat and how the author will combine the two series at last! ⭐️ I just hope we will get more „original“ scenes, because every time I read something completely new I love it! 。。。more

Sera is one of the most relatable characters。 I thought ALITF was the most well written book from Jennifer Armentrout, but this one really surpassed it for me。 Sooo many questions I had were answered。 It really brought everything from FBAA and this series full circle。 While there was a lot of information in this book, nothing ever felt dull like an “information dump”。 I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down。

Kendra Chaisson

honestly love this over Poppy’s story (from blood and ash series)Seraphina is so strong, i like her character and how her and Ash interactthe only reason why it’s 4/5 stars is because i felt like nothing really happened but a lot happenedthere’s only two scenarios that happen in this book but a lot of information is learned to set up for the next bookloveeee the ending 😍

Denali

This would definitely have been more enjoyable if it came with trigger warnings for non-consent。

This book continues to prove why this is one of my all time favorite series and why Daddy Nyktos is the ultimate book boyfriend! I’m already craving the next book to see how it all wraps up!

My toxic trait is thinking I could fix Kolis

Lilacfables

I enjoy reading this series and I’m excited to see how it ends but omg the amount of recycled content kills me。 🫠

Felt quite long compared to the others but still really good as a whole series! Ready for the final book now with the new villain 👀

Okkay so this book was a total rollercoaster of emotions。At first I found it too long and slow, but then?? I have no words to describe all the emotions it made me feel, what it triggered。 It was just beautiful 。You know me, I freaking love this series , I would give my first born for this series。 And I can not wait for the other books to come out ( I am so glad it has not ended yet, I would be beyond heartbroken when it will)。Sera is such a realistic person , her inner thoughts triggered a hidde Okkay so this book was a total rollercoaster of emotions。At first I found it too long and slow, but then?? This book honestly started slow in my opinion。 There was a lot of talking and very little actually happening but once things did happen。。 it went fast! I wish this was the end of this series because that ending was so good and I feel like it’s starting to just drag on。 The characters are feeling the exact same as poppy and cas in fbaa。 Overall I think it was a good book, 4 stars because the ending, otherwise I would have given it 3。

I cried, I cringed, I laughed, but most of all I just want to appreciate that this was not a money grab like A Soul of Ash and Blood clearly had been。

***ARC Review*** This story started out right where the previous book (2) left off。 It jumped right into the action which was appreciated。 There was significantly more new information shared with the reader, I was surprised by this because it is book3 (of what was supposed to be 3 but is now a 4 book series)。 Still don’t love the modern vernacular but it still isn’t a deal breaker for me。 I really really love Sera’s character SO much。 Loved the continued anxiety rep as well。 This book was high s ***ARC Review*** This story started out right where the previous book (2) left off。 It jumped right into the action which was appreciated。 There was significantly more new information shared with the reader, I was surprised by this because it is book3 (of what was supposed to be 3 but is now a 4 book series)。 Still don’t love the modern vernacular but it still isn’t a deal breaker for me。 I really really love Sera’s character SO much。 Loved the continued anxiety rep as well。 This book was high stakes THE ENTIRE TIME。 It was a wild ride。 I became very invested at 40% - it felt like this is where more dots started to connect, the plot twists and reveals started to make more sense。 I do like Attes a lot as well…I think there is a reason for that *smirk*。 What I believe may have been one of JLA’s steamiest (and potentially longest ) spicy scenes in the FAF/FBAA universe is in this book (IMO)。 Also one of the best JLA character declarations of love。 Recommend for any fan of the FBAA/FAF stories。 This one is a must if you are invested that universe。 。。。more

SIGH。。。 I was so excited for this book。 Personally i love this series even more than Blood and Ash, but this one felt so weak to me compared to the previous 2 books。 Both the plot and the writing was repetitive and at the end i was just disappointed。 I slept on this review, but literally the more i think about it the more mad this makes me。 But here' s some very spoilery reasons for my disappointment:(view spoiler)[ Ok so I kind of liked how Sera was left on her own at the beginning。 It's always SIGH。。。 I was so excited for this book。 Personally i love this series even more than Blood and Ash, but this one felt so weak to me compared to the previous 2 books。 Both the plot and the writing was repetitive and at the end i was just disappointed。 I slept on this review, but literally the more i think about it the more mad this makes me。 But here' s some very spoilery reasons for my disappointment:(view spoiler)[ Ok so I kind of liked how Sera was left on her own at the beginning。 It's always interesting to see how characters who's been "stuck" in a group act without their safety people。 It was especially nice how it was eventually Sera who saved herself AND Ash。 BUT separating her from everyone for the whole first half of the book, without anything major happening plotwise was extremely exhausting to read。 It felt like the whole thing was just trying to be a character buildup for Kolis, so that the readers can have multiple reasons to hate him :"D Not only the plot was repetetive but the writing。。。 Sera was saying the same things in her thoughts, coming to the same conclusions, i was screaming for something to finally happen。 The angst would have been great, if everything didn't take this long。 It was sooo drawn out。 Even when Ash reunited with Sera, she was DYING and they seemed to be just taking their sweet time to meet multiple people, at seperate places。。。 And of course it was obvious Sera would become the Primal of Life, but that ending。。。。。。。。。。 I didn't thing i would say this, I love the spicy scenes, but to have it for literally 30 pages as an ending was unfortunately very fitting to the whole boring repetitiveness of this book。 I wish Sera had more interactions with others。 I loved her with Attes, but I was extremely disappointed she only had about 2 "conversations" with Nektas。 (hide spoiler)]This book could have been half this long with an added second half and i would have loved it。 。。。more

I'm a big JLA fan but I give up on this one。 I read Book 2 when it came out and this just throws you right into it with little to remind you of what happened in Book 2。 Sorry, I read a lot and I can't keep track of every series。 I'm like 3 hours into a 25 hour audio book and I just can't bring myself to care about this story anymore。 I think I saw that there's now going to be a 4th book which solidifies my decision to give up now。 I ended up not finishing Fall of Ruin and Wrath either。 Character I'm a big JLA fan but I give up on this one。 I read Book 2 when it came out and this just throws you right into it with little to remind you of what happened in Book 2。 Sorry, I read a lot and I can't keep track of every series。 I'm like 3 hours into a 25 hour audio book and I just can't bring myself to care about this story anymore。 I think I saw that there's now going to be a 4th book which solidifies my decision to give up now。 I ended up not finishing Fall of Ruin and Wrath either。 Characters/storyline are just not all that engaging。 Love me some Poppy/Casteel but the rest of this has just been a big disappointment。 。。。more

This book is so amazing! It definitely had me on an emotional roller coaster throughout。 I knew going into this book i wasn’t going to be happy at parts because I have this fantasy of everything going perfect for the MC and that does not always happen especially with the ending of the last book in this series。 This book picks up where that one ends with Sera captured。 We get to explore more about Sera’s character。 We get to learn more about who she is as a person。 How she is truly a strong indep This book is so amazing! Guys, I believe this has been my favorite of this series so far! I felt the storyline and the characters develop more in A Fire in the Flesh。 I honestly cannot put my finger on what was different with this book, but it was perfect。 I felt the characters were more their own story and apart from FBAA characters。 This one will get your heart though。 I have not had a book make me cry in long while but this one got me, but I love that I literally laughed out loud a chapter later over a simple stateme Guys, I believe this has been my favorite of this series so far! Kolis on the other hand gives off major creeper vibes the entire time。 We definitely have a stage 5 clinger on our hands! Spicy? Yes, but just the right amount! I was riddled with anxiety the entire time! I found myself holding my breath during every scene with Kolis worried about what was to come。 The explanations about certain aspects of this series were lengthy, but needed to understand past books in this series as well as what is currently going on in this book。 I was very happy with how the events unfolded and made me love this series even more!!

Cypriana

I wanted to love it。 I really did。I STRUGGLED to stick with it and once I finished it was like, what even happened? It’s giving “this meeting could’ve been an email” vibes。
